Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Service Centre Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining solar energy systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability, troubleshooting solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other system components.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance on products, ensuring that they meet the company’s quality standards.
- Diagnose technical issues with products brought to the service center, identifying the root cause of malfunctions or failures.
- Test repaired products to ensure they are fully functional and meet performance specifications before returning them to customers.
- Provide customers with technical advice and support, offering solutions to prevent future issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work, including details of the issues diagnosed, parts replaced, and services performed.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all products before and after repair to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards.
- Update inverter firmware to ensure compatibility with changing grid requirements and optimize performance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Technology, or a related field.
- Apprenticeship or vocational training in solar PV installation, maintenance, or electrical systems is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in solar system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, charge controllers, and battery storage.
- Ability to diagnose and repair faulty solar components (panels, inverters, batteries, wiring, etc.).
- Experience with testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, etc.).
- Understanding of electrical wiring, safety protocols, and compliance with industry standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop solar system designs, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Track project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing regular updates to stakeholders and clients.
- Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure that project tasks are completed according to the schedule.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, reports, and contracts.
- Prepare and distribute regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key developments, risks, and next steps.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards, identifying areas for improvement
Provide detailed feedback on quotations, highlighting any discrepancies or areas requiring clarification or adjustment.
- Monitor the progress of installation projects to ensure they are on schedule and within budget.
- Perform administrative tasks, including document management, data entry, and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Electronics (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, Environmental, or a related field).
- A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Sustainable Engineering, or Project Management is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in renewable energy projects (solar, battery storage, etc.).
Knowledge of system design and technical specifications for renewable energy installations.
- Familiarity with renewable energy policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
